FIL Update #2

Yesterday, the doctors were able to close up my FIL's chest, and removed one of the pumps. His heart is beating a lot more on its own. He still has machines breathing for him and supporting his heart, but the doctors are more hopeful.

After he heals a little bit and his heart is able to take over completely, he has a few more hurdles. The docs are worried that his intestines may have been deprived of oxygen, as well as other internal organs. It will be a few weeks, though, before we can find out whether his brain was damaged during his crisis.
