Worst Reading List Ever

Amy Welborn is asking for reader's worst required reading book, and I thought that would be an interesting meme!
Here's mine- I was in honors/AP English for freshman through junior years. I don't remember any real duds, and I do remember several shorts that I liked. (OK, I did totally fake reading the Leatherstocking Tales by looking for keywords and skimming skimming skimming.)
My senior year was a little...tumultuous, and by the time I got to the semester for English, I was working full time and not living at home. So I skipped AP Literature and went for the standard senior English class.
We were required to read the script for Pulp Fiction. And then we didn't even get to see the movie in class! We did watch some weird French movie about... I'm not sure. The house flooded and the people drowned. It was in French. And artsy.
What was YOUR worst read?
(I'm making up for it by reading on my own. I'm working my way through the 19th century, and read Willa Cather and Sarah Orne Jewett last year; working on Uncle Tom's Cabin and the Red Badge of Courage this season.)
